Ninetofive

Loosely based on the real daily routines of three of the most important writers of the 20th century- taken from Mason Currey’s book ‘Daily Rituals’- Ninetofive is a short film that looks at our everyday chores with a playful approach. The three characters in the film are performed by Polish dancer Aleksandra Witalisz, who gives them a physicality that goes from stiffness to softness and from discipline to decadence. The fashion film was comissioned by Uriel Mena, a designer based in Barcelona who works primarily with ephemeral and upcycled materials: all the clothing in the film is made from repurposed shirts which, combined, twisted and held in place by their own buttons, have a personality of their own.
